After the chickpeas have been rinsed, allow to air dry on the air fryer basket or carefully dry with a clean microfiber towel.
Once dried, transfer chickpeas into a mixing bowl and toss with oil, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
With space in-between, arrange chickpeas onto the air fryer basket. Cook for 7-8 minutes, shaking the basket a couple of times.
Notes
Feel free to dry the chickpeas on a paper towel or clean towel if you prefer.
Adjust the sugar and cinnamon to your liking. If you’re a big cinnamon fan, add more. If you want the chickpeas to be sweeter, add more sugar. White granulated or coconut sugar may be used.
First, allow the air fryer chickpeas to completely cool down. Store the roasted chickpeas in an open paper bag, jar, or a sealed reusable silicone bag (or plastic bag) lined with paper towels. It’s best stored without a lid or covering to preserve the crispiness.
To roast in the oven, cook at 400 degrees F for 20-30 minutes, shaking the pan periodically.
