When the sun rises, it's time for a bowl of oats to hold me over until lunchtime. When I want a subtle sweetness to start my day, a bowl of dark chocolate and peanut butter oat bran scratches that itch.
Oat bran is a little different from rolled oats, but with much more fiber and goodness. It reminds me of farina/cream of wheat, but with a better nutritional profile.
Additionally, it only takes 2 minutes to make.
Where To Find Oat Bran
Oat bran may be challenging to find, as it's not as popular as old-fashioned oats. Even though I live in an area where food scarcity isn't an issue, my local market hardly has oat bran stocked.
Instead of guessing on whether or not my store brought in a shipment of oat bran, I just purchase it online. Amazon sells oat bran in bulk from popular food brands including Quakers and Bob Red Mill's.
